Sterlite Technologies Limited announced an update on ongoing litigation, reporting that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) initially issued a demand notice for Rs 8.56 Crores in August 2020, alleging a violation of the terms of its IP-I Registration; however, the company successfully secured an arbitral award dated May 17, 2023, which quashed the demand, and the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi subsequently dismissed DoT’s petition challenging the award, resulting in zero financial or operational exposure for the company.
