Bullion prices surge anticipating easier monetary policy
28-Aug-26   15:59 Hrs IST

Gold futures were stable around $4,660 an ounce on Friday as investors looked forward to Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech at Jackson Hole for insights on US interest rates. Gold is set for a 15% monthly gain due to lower yields, a weak dollar, safe-haven demand, and speculative buying, alongside rising concerns about US debt risks. Silver has increased over 20% this month driven by strong industrial demand and a supply shortage. In India, MCX October gold futures rose 0.2% to Rs.1,59,262 per 10 grams, while silver futures gained over 1% to Rs.2,43,132 per kg.
